Located in Abbeville, LA Abbey Players, a community theatre in Abbeville, LA, strives to bring quality theatre to the Acadiana, South Central Louisiana area. This community theatre produces 3 to 4 main stage productions a year and a Children’s Theatre Guild production during the summer. Throughout the year, we also serve as a host for several theatre companies from across the State of Louisiana and beyond.
Located in Crowley, LA The Acadia Players was founded in 1979 as a Section 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation, with the purpose of introducing Community Theater to our local communities. First named The Acadia Arts Council, the Acadia Players has introduced classic plays and musicals, as well as new productions, to the community. The Acadia Players is a family-oriented theater group, that strives to include everyone who wishes to become involved in their performances.
Located in Lafayette, LA It is the mission of the ASO to make orchestral music available to as many people as possible. Innovative programming is designed to attract a wide variety of listeners and to increase audience appreciation of various orchestral repertoires. The ASO currently performs outreach concerts in outlying communities such as New Iberia, Abbeville and Crowley, Louisiana, and a number of churches and schools in Lafayette.
Located in Lafayette, LA Acadiana Repertory Theatre is a not for profit theatre company serving the culturally rich area in southwest Louisiana known as Acadiana and focused on the development and production of new works. Consisting of a core team of actors, directors, and visual artists, Acadiana Repertory Theatre is one of the newest additions to the cultural reawakening in this area.
Located in Abbeville, LA Allumé Productions is a local troup bent on producing plays based on true stories of days gone by. These stories are collected in Vermilion Parish, professionally directed, designed, choreographed and performed by a volunteer cast of local citizens. Revenues generated will be used to help restore the old Frank’s Theater.
Located in Lafayette, La Cypress Knee Theatre Company's founding members are Aren Chaisson, Melissa Gilbert, Carl Granieri, Meredith Granieri, Kendra Weeks, and myself. The Eunice Players' Theatre is a non-profit community theatre in Eunice LA that began its operation in 1969 and has been continually operating to this day. The Board of Directors oversees the production of four shows per year, completely produced by volunteers dedicated to bringing quality live theatrical performances to patrons of the Acadiana area. The annual Irving Awards serve as a celebration of the previous year's performances as well as a kick off to the upcoming season. Much like Broadway's Tony Awards, people who have worked on the previous season's plays are given awards for Technical, Acting, and Directoral merit.
Located in St. Martinville, LA The Evangeline Players are dedicated to bringing quality community theatre to the Acadiana area. For over a decade, The Evangeline Players have produced a wide range of plays, from musicals (Annie, Nunsense) and classics (Ghosts, Our Town) to Christmas favorites (Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Story). We pride ourselves on our connection with our surrounding community through frequent benefit performances and our encouragement of future generations of theatre-goers with annual summer drama camps.
The Iberia Performing Arts League, also known as IPAL, is a community theater organization based in New Iberia, Louisiana. Its mission is to promote live theater in New Iberia and to enhance the community. It generally offers five major productions per season, a summer youth play or activity, and occasionally other special activities.

We tell the stories of the couples that just can’t make it through the stormy days, families that back stab to get ahead and victims who cannot find the light at the end of the tunnel. Through theatrical performances and spoken word events, we will capture the most exciting moments while also providing the community the secret jewel of Lafayette, the Arts.
Located in Opelousas, LA The Opelousas Little Theatre's governing body is comprised of area citizens who are committed to the performing arts in Louisiana. Members of the OLT Executive Committee and the OLT Board of Directors are responsible for the day-to-day operations and physical maintenance of the theater as well as approving, planning, and producing the season’s selections at OLT.
Located in Lafayette, LA The Riveters Theatre Troupe was birthed from a common project; we performed Uncommon Women and Others by Wendy Wasserstein in May of 2011. We were a group of uncommon men and women working common jobs with a similar need and passion for theatre and the arts. With the remount production of Uncommon Women and Others in January 2012, we solidified our goal of providing an outlet for the community to view, participate in, and create art without having to abandon their responsibilities.

Since 2010, The Tea Sippers have made a name for themselves within the Lafayette community and have produced several plays and musicals.
Located in Ville Platte, LA Troupe d'Evangeline Community Theatre's mission is to provide education, entertainment, and exposure to cultural experiences. Our objective is to become a resource for the residents of Evangeline Parish and to enrich the cultural depth and education of the community at large. We encourage community based cultural development and creative expression, as well as provide entertainment for the community as a whole.
Located in Lafayette, LA Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts with a concentration in theatre is unique because of the emphasis on actor training within a liberal arts course of study. Students will have concentrated study in acting, voice, and movement coursework along with the opportunity to perform in six or more productions per year. The curriculum explores the process, complexity and richness of acting while challenging students with the intellectual discipline necessary of the theatre. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts with a concentration in dance is a 120 credit-hour course of study which provides a comprehensive and developmental sequence of technique classes in ballet, modern and jazz, and courses in composition, dance history and philosophy, stage production, repertory, pedagogy and music analysis, as well as related courses in theatre and art.
Located in Lafayette, LA Wanderlust is a Gulf Coast based company that offers fully realized stage productions as well as custom made costumes, props and puppets. Wanderlust serves through outreach, classes and workshops, and participates in community and academic dialogues on both the local and national level regarding unique explorations of the arts.
